MōBrowser CRA Status
As a commercial software product available on the EU market, MōBrowser is within the scope of Regulation (EU) 2024/2847, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
Ready for CRA
MōBrowser is developed by TeamDev, a software company headquartered in the European Union, and is made available to customers in the EU market. That makes MōBrowser subject to the CRA, and we approach its development accordingly.
We follow secure development practices: we track vulnerabilities in Chromium and other third-party dependencies, and update MōBrowser regularly.
We continuously assess how the CRA applies to MōBrowser, including product classification, essential cybersecurity requirements, vulnerability handling, security update processes, technical documentation, and conformity-assessment obligations.
Applications built with MōBrowser
We build MōBrowser to support the CRA efforts of the companies that develop and distribute desktop applications with it. For this, we provide the following tools.
Software bill of materials (SBOM)
Starting with MōBrowser 2.15.0, we provide SBOM generation in CycloneDX format for applications built with MōBrowser.
The SBOM lists the components the application ships on each target platform, including Chromium, MōBrowser and its dependencies, and the application’s production npm dependencies.
Delivering security updates
MōBrowser includes built-in automatic updates that deliver security fixes to application users without a reinstall. Updates can be signed, so only the application’s publisher can release them.
Communication about vulnerabilities
We inform users about security updates and fixed vulnerabilities in the MōBrowser release notes. For broader security-related communication, we use the MōBrowser blog and existing customer support channels.
